Celebrate Independence Day at the Spring Creek Freedom Festival on Saturday, July 4th, as we proudly mark the 20th anniversary of this cherished community tradition at the Spring Creek Marina. The day begins bright and early with a flag raising ceremony at 6:45 a.m., followed by a pancake breakfast at 7:00 a.m., the 5K Freedom Run/Walk, and a mud volleyball tournament. The Freedom Festival Parade steps off at 10:00 a.m. along the Parkway, Glenvista, and Parkchester. Afternoon festivities begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until dark, featuring 3v3 basketball, horseshoes, inflatables, face painting, horse rides, axe throwing, food and beer vendors, and live entertainment. The celebration concludes with the Ridley’s Family Lake of Fire Firework Show at 9:00 p.m., lighting up the marina to close out a full day of patriotic fun.

Please be reminded of the rules and safety guidelines for the Dock, Beach, Swim, and Dam areas at the Marina. There is an inherent risk when entering freshwater with ducks or geese present, including swimmer’s itch and other waterborne concerns, so proper hygiene and preventative measures are encouraged. Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at all times, and there is no lifeguard on duty—swim at your own risk. Life jackets or safety devices are required for anyone swimming, and diving or jumping from the dock or shore is strictly prohibited.
